Resisting your temptations

Thank you for your interest. Here are my personal tips:

  • I drink a large cup of water. Thirst is often confused with hunger or food cravings.

  • I avoid getting extremely hungry.

  • I acknowledge that this is my choice rather than a sacrifice.

  • I stop and ask myself why I am craving this particular food and try to remind myself what I have already eaten that day.

  • I remind myself how good I felt when I resisted last time and don’t want to disappoint myself.

  • I use ‘postponing tactic’! I literally say to myself, yes I want to eat this piece of cake but I will have it later (eg 2 hours later) and then you almost always forget about it.

  • I visualise the saturated fat and amount of unnecessary sugar I will gain from that cookie floating in my system visiting my stomach and heart.

  • I also visualise myself on holiday by the beach with the physique that I am happy with and how eating this temptation will take me away from that look.

Hope you found these quick tips helpful. Look out for my next posting.

If you have any tips that you would like to share, I would love to hear from you.

Best
